Hi, I'm Hayley Edwards, your local Liberal for Rockingham.

I come from humble beginnings. As a child I watched my dad work tirelessly as a self-employed carpenter, and seeing my mum juggle three jobs to support our family taught me the true meaning of hard work and resilience.

 

After attending public school, I joined the Air Force, where I learned discipline and leadership. It was in my subsequent careers as a nurse and qualified ambulance paramedic and highlighted the critical need for investment in our health services.

 

Moving to WA was a turning point in my life. I started a small business and met my wonderful husband – together we have
four exceptional children and our beloved rescue dog.

 

I have a deep commitment to our community.
I have served as our Deputy mayor; my husband and I volunteer at Marine Rescue Rockingham and actively engage with various community groups.

 

As a small business owner, I’ve faced many challenges, such as excessive red tape and government regulation, and I understand that local mum-and-dad businesses are the backbone of our economy.

 

As a member of the Liberal team, I’m fighting for real action on the cost of living, better local health and community services, long overdue investment in local infrastructure and more resources to crack down on crime – including a police station that’s open 24/7.
